As a returned PCV I found this book to be an enjoyable read and full of useful information that anyone interested in the Peace Corps would find invaluable as an aid to getting to know the Peace Corps. I don't know of any other books like this. I was a volunteer so long ago (early 70's) that I hardly remember the agonies of all the paper work and prep it took to join. But Kelly goes through this process in a way that makes it understandable, and less intimidating. A good read and a great help tp anyone who wants to serve or who has served their country via the Peace Corps.
This book is a great resource for anyone considering Peace Corps. Branyik gives practical advice and emotional support in a conversational tone
