I did like the stories. I got really involved, laughed, cried, but I was disappointed. The sex scenes were a bit too much detail & too often, so I had to skip often. A few bad words.
They made my laugh and cry along with the brides! I love reading these types of books I don't have to really think about them so hard very enjoyable light reading!
Each book was great and yet never felt it was done by formula. I loved the subject matter and place. Those times are what made America.
I was repulsed at the sexual detail in these books. I will not read any more stories by Hildie McQueen!The stories also moved exceedingly slowly. The plots were pretty interesting, but I can't enthusiastically recommend the series. The books did depict Montana life pretty well for that period of history, but so many 'desperate' women in one family circle is a bit far-fetched.
Four brides for four men...A perfect setting. Each woman traveling from the East to Montana are expecting to marry a stranger. This reasons for leaving their home are varied and to be life changing.. Well written characters and life and new marriage struggles is compelling.lots of HEAs.
This is a nice collection. I really liked the third story about Lucille the best as there were some twists that kept me from putting the book down for any length of time.
I so enjoyed this set. The author seamlessly integrated every new story with the previous ones. I look forward to reading about all the characters in future books.
