Null then explains the multipronged antiaging "protocol." This isn't a quick-fix program; it fills nearly 300 pages, with suggestions ranging from sealing off the vents from your garage to your house to drinking a gallon of purified water a day. Student of Gary Null from years ago...had to part with my Null book collection...just replacing...I did manage to stay on the anti-aging diet for about a month..in my late 30's and it grew a few chest hairs..plus I could see at least on new sprout on my head, and it was dark brown, amongst my salt and pepper...I respect what Null teaches...he cites everything, and has a true passion for his work.
I have many of Gary Null's books (most in fact). I bought this one to give as a gift.
I was rather disappointed with this set of tapes. Some of the topics were really not that innovative. Check topics thoroughly before buying.

Null pretty obviously knows his stuff, even if I can't always agree with certain of his stances, but there was a startlingly bad error regarding a USRDA of a substance which could really mess up one's metabolism if one followed this book. I sent an e-mail to him to complain of the incompetence of the copy editing/proofreading some weeks ago, but he or his office did not deign to acknowledge the error. He will be fortunate if he does not hear from someone's attorney or health professional on this matter, and I will now take any info from Dr Null with a large grain of non-iodized Celtic sea salt.

Gary Null is a very intelligent man. His radio program is fantastic, and he is a walking encyclopedia of information. I am amazed at how much information he has on such a variety of topics from nutrition, to politics, to even sports.With that said, let's get to the review.. I too purchased this book after seeing his show on PBS. I had already known Gary, and had heard him talk on his radio program for years before the PBS special. I had decided to purchase the book at the local book store upon seeing the special because it was so convincing.I got home, and dove right into the book. I was greatly disappointed at how disorganized this book is, as I am with a lot of Gary's books. He seems to big a HUGE fan of footnotes, and posting results from various trials and protocols from peer review journals. There is very little information in this book that actually teaches you how to Anti-Age.Upon completion of the book, and getting nothing out of it, I thought I might have read it wrong, so I read it again. To my dismay, I was incorrect. This book is certainly not a wealth of information by any means, and you can get more out of listening to Gary's radio program for 10 minutes than you can get from reading this book from cover to cover.
Dr. Null's writing is excellent in this book which teachessome of the better protocols in the alternative medicinalarea. He begins the book by teaching patients to developand enforce a food journal to diarize their eating habits.Next, he asks that you make a general assessment of the bodyby looking in the mirror and critiquing noticeable aspects.Graduates of the Null program have reported higher energylevels and better health. The author espouses a number ofaging theories in the arsenal of alternative medicine:- eliminate free radicals- reduce the rate of blood flow- regulate the thymus gland to improve T-cell counts- manage the elasticity of lung tissueDr. Null cites some important protocols for classic diseaseprocesses. i.e.- anti-Parkinson's disease food groups are asparagus, spinach and soy- alpha lipoic acid boosts the power of anti-oxidants and benefits diabetics- anti-arrythmic foods are lettuce, asparagus, cucumber, radish, endives and oats- anti-arthritic foods are cantaloupe, avocado, cucumber and evening primrose- anti-aging foods are carrots, barley, papaya, cabbage, sweet potato and spinachHe reminds us that we can extend life through diet, exerciseand phytochemicals. The work is an outstanding addition toany health library in conventional or alternative medicine.
